Tailored Programs for School/College Groups
Minds Abroad also offers customized programs for high school and college groups. These programs can begin anytime during the year and have the flexibility of combining language immersion, volunteering and educational travel along with specific needs of each group. Minds Abroad's philosophy is about 'learning by doing' so in addition to studying Mandarin, we also arrange for volunteering activities with local NGOs, extracurricular activities like Tai Chi, Calligraphy, Chinese painting or cookery classes etc. We try to strike an ideal blend of Mandarin classes and hands-on activities. These activities help students understand better about Chinese life and culture and also learn about the local community.
Through these programs, student travelers will not only see a new part of the world, they may also earn academic credits for their study abroad. We take care of everything from accommodations to meals to chaperoning students in excursions.
Teachers guiding their students can travel for free! We provide all kind of supporting letters and information that you would need to discuss our programs with your colleagues at school, your study abroad office and with interested students. Do ask us more and we would send you a sample of our customized itinerary for school/college groups so that you can have a better idea about our programs.

Why Choose Yunnan to Study Abroad?
Minds Abroad is located in Kunming, Yunnan’s Cosmopolitan Capital and China’s Most Livable City.
As Lonely Planet says, “If you have time for but one province in China, Yunnan should be it. Yunnan is the most biodiverse and culturally diverse province in China. With the presence of 26 ethnic minorities Yunnan is the melting pot of traditions, culture and cuisine. Kunming is also surrounded by diverse natural and cultural wonders like tropical forests, Himalayan peaks, ancient pagodas and Tibetan Buddhist monasteries. See our Kunming trips page to know more about these destinations. You could also travel to 5 Southeast Asian countries which are just across the province.
Kunming is a large cosmopolitan city with a diverse population. There are all amenities of modern life here and everyone in the group can spend their free time differently. There are cultural sites like museums, temples and contemporary art galleries that offer opportunities for art enthusiasts, martial arts learners, Chinese medicine practitioners and even budding chefs.
Like nearly all of China’s rapidly modernizing cities, Kunming has nearly all the modern comforts we have come to expect in the West. There are large indoor and outdoor shopping centers, italian cafes to sip coffee and read a book in, and even a few jazz bars here and there. If you want to, you can get a hamburger and fries for lunch, shop at Luis Vuitton in the afternoon and then stop by Haagen -Dazs for an ice cream cone afterwards. Check this page to read more.
